For the owners of this immaculate 1960s era home tucked into the edge of the Washington Park Arboretum, incorporating their own aesthetic into the house was paramount. With input from an architect and in collaboration with the homeowners, Katahdin redesigned the master bedroom to simplify the space and demolished the bunker-like master bathroom and rebuilt it from the ground up.
Built-ins tie together the reshaped rooms, with new hardwood floors throughout. Details like floating cabinetry, and a one-off translucent stone light wall bring the house into the modern era and bring out the character befitting of its halcyon location.
